How to shutdown / restart the Fronius PRIMO or SYMO Inverter

  • 0:00
G-day. I'm Aidan from KDEC and we're going through the shutdown procedure for our Fronius Primo and Fronius Symo inverters.
  • 0:09
So out here at your inverter, you'll find there's a shutdown procedure mounted either on the inverter or next to it, and it's quite simple.
  • 0:16
Just got two steps. So we'll go through those now. Our first step is to turn off the main switch inverter supply or inverter AC isolator.
  • 0:23
This is our inverter AC isolator mounted next to your inverter. If your inverter's mounted immediately next to your switchboard, you may find you don't have an isolator with the inverter.
  • 0:33
Instead, you're going to need to go into your switchboard and find a circuit breaker, which will be labelled inverter main switch supply, and we'll just use that as our isolator.
  • 0:41
We do have an isolator, so we're going to go ahead and turn that off. Inverter shut down. Next step is turn off PV or DC isolator located at the inverter.
  • 0:52
This is underneath on the bottom left hand side of your inverter, and we need to rotate that until it's parallel with the wall and you hear that click.
  • 1:00
That's disconnected our DC. Now to start our inverter back up we just follow those steps in reverse. Turn the DC back on first, and then we turn our AC isolator back on.
  • 1:14
And the inverter will go through its start up procedure and after about two minutes, we should be reconnected back to the grid.
