It’s been making headlines — and now it’s official!

With the federal election now behind us, the Cheaper Home Batteries Program is set to roll out, aiming to make energy storage more affordable and accessible for all Australians.

This initiative isn’t just for homeowners — it also supports small businesses and community facilities looking to take control of their energy use and reduce costs.

While the federal program is a major milestone, other state-based and local incentives are also evolving. See our latest breakdown of Solar Battery Rebates 2026 Updates to ensure you don’t miss out on any additional funding.

Program Launch Date: July 1, 2025

But no need to wait!  Act now to avoid possible installation delays & potential price rises.  Contact us for more information.

So, what is it and what are the savings?

The $2.3 billion federal initiative aims to reduce the upfront costs of installing a battery storage system in their home by up to 30.

For example, if you install a 13.5kWh battery, you could receive a federal rebate of approximately $4,500 — a substantial saving.*

This program is designed to support over 1 million new batteries by 2030, helping households reduce their electricity bills.

There are more than 4 million rooftop power systems installed in Australia to date, which means there are many eager to add on a home battery considering the current feed-in tariffs are not as generous as they used to be!

What are the benefits?

  • Significant energy bill reductions.
  • Reduce the reliance on grid, particularly during peak demand times or outages
  • Contributing to Renewable Energy Goals.

If you’re considering a home battery system, now is the perfect time to act.
