Nixon and Henry from Celtic Solar were on time, way quicker than I expected (half a day), very tidy, knowledgeable and helpful.
I got advice on the particular combination of battery charger and solar I needed to minimise my power bill, and charge the car at the lowest emissions.
The units had a smaller footprint than I’d expected so are discreet and out of the way. The panels seem to perform better in low light (eg even when raining) than those I installed at my old home 8 years ago.
I was advised by Cameron to install a larger battery than I had in mind and this had proved to be a good suggestion. And when I preferred a different charger to their suggestion he pivoted to that. Their quotations are clear and broken down, and easier to assess than other firms.
When I was confused by the messages I received from Energex they reassured me that this was normal.
Overall it was a good experience choosing Celtic for my switch to an electric, low emissions home.

They focus on quality at every step but the price is super competitive. The install was also fast but once again first rate quality. The follow on service during the settling in period has been above and beyond as well. Our system has been up and running for nearly 6 months and we no longer pay a bill. We also live in an area with frequent blackout and we’ve had several in that time. The lights flicker and boom straight onto battery. The battery also gets us easily through the night.

On top of that, our team can walk you through additional state and federal programs, including the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, to bring your upfront cost down further. Manufacturer trade-in offers are sometimes available too.

There is no standard 6.6kW package here. Every system is sized around your property, household load and budget. As a general guide, Sunshine Coast homes with a pool and ducted air conditioning usually need at least a 10kW solar system.

Yes. Today’s battery systems run on smart software that, paired with the right energy plan, lets you sell stored power back to the grid during peak demand periods to earn bill credits. Our team can help you choose the right technology to set this up.

Yes. Our recommended EV chargers can be set to prioritise solar first, so you charge from your own rooftop generation and draw less from the grid. Keep in mind that basic entry-level chargers do not always include this option.
