How to Connect your Fronius OhmPilot back to the wifi

  • 0:02
Hi, I'm Aidan from KDEC, and here we're going to talk about your Fronius Ohmpilot and how to get that connected back to your WiFi network.
  • 0:09
So this might be if you've got a new modem or just for some reason, your Ohmpilot is not connected to your WiFi network. Now, the most straightforward way to do this is with our WPS functionality here.
  • 0:22
The Ohmpilots have a WPS button on them as well, so we'll be able to activate that on both ends. This modem's nice and clear, we have a very visible WPS button on the front here.
  • 0:31
Not all modems will have that, and you may need to look on the back or underneath to find your WPS button. So we'll go ahead and push this.
  • 0:38
Usually it's a nice hold, and you'll see our WiFi indicator light has begun to flash, which lets me know that we've successfully activated WPS.
  • 0:48
You may have a dedicated WPS indicator on your modem. It might be a separate LED that just says WPS underneath it.
  • 0:55
Now that that's been successfully activated, we can head on out to our Ohmpilot to activate WPS on the Ohmpilot, and get these two talking.

Here we are, at our Fronius Ohmpilot, which will be installed next to your hot water. You can see, we have one button on here, which we'll use to activate our WPS.
  • 1:12
Now, we just need a single press and just feel for a tactile click to know that we've pressed it correctly.
  • 1:18
Our WiFi indicator light should begin flashing blue and then shift to a solid blue once we've got a connection with our modem.

In this video, KDEC team will demonstrate how to correctly reconnect the Fronius Ohmpilot to a WiFi network.

Connecting this device to a new modem or your home’s existing network is helpful as it allows you to remotely monitor its performance and energy usage in real-time.
